Modeling and Analysis of Column Formwork Construction Components Using Dynamo Revit (Study Case : Project Construction of Building 2 Hermina Hospital Pandanaran)
Abstract
The construction industry in Indonesia continues to experience rapid growth, however there are still challenges in the optimal implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, particularly in the volume calculation of column formwork work. This research aims to utilize Autodesk Revit and Dynamo software to accelerate and enhance the accuracy of calculating the components needed for column formwork work in the construction project of Hermina Pandanaran Hospital Building 2. The structure and construction of the column formwork are modeled using Revit in a 3D format and then the modeling results are analyzed through Dynamo scripts to determine the complete and automatic requirements for the components of the column formwork work. The use of Revit and Dynamo has proven to increase planning efficiency, reduce calculation errors, and support more effective project management. A comparison of manual calculations and those performed using Dynamo shows a 0% difference, demonstrating the accuracy of the component requirement calculations using Dynamo. The findings of this research can provide insights for construction practitioners to leverage BIM technology in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of volume calculations for column formwork work.
