Jurnal Didaktik Matematika was established on 27th December 2013 and its first edition was published in April 2014. This journal is published by the Magister of Mathematics Education Program of Universitas Syiah Kuala in collaboration with Himpunan Matematika Indonesia (Indonesian Mathematical Society/IndoMs) and the research institution of Universitas Syiah Kuala. In 2024, JDM collaborated with the Indonesian Mathematics Educators Society (I-MES).
JDM publication has been made full management of Open Journal System (OJS) and gets DOI commencing April 2017. Hence the journal is currently published in both online and printed versions. All publications are open access in full text and free to download.
