Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this research to determine the
catching fishery sector clasified in the basic sector or
non basic sector in the structure of economy and to see
the relationship and impact of the fishing effort to the
production of catching fishery sector in Aceh Besar
Regency. This research uses Location Quotion (LQ)
and Multiple Regression analysis. From the result of
research known that catching fishery sector is base
sector in economic structure. The effort fishing and the
production of catching fishery have a positive
relationship. The number of fishing effort increase 1
trip will increase the number of production 0.007 ton
with the assumption that other variables are constant.
To increase the production of catching fishery, the
government should provide such as fuel subsidy, gill
net, and ship to the fisherman.
