Rina Suryani Oktari is a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and teaches disaster studies. She is also the Coordinator for Disaster Education and Management Research Cluster at Tsunami and Disaster Mitigation Research Center (TDMRC). She is one of the alumni of the Pan Asia Risk Reduction (PARR) Fellowship Program at the International Environment and Disaster Management (IEDM) Laboratory, Kyoto University. She has been awarded as the Young Scientist of the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) worldwide in 2019.
