International Journal of Language Testing and Assessment

International Journal of Language Testing and Assessment (IJoLTA), a member of journals published by Syiah Kuala University, is a peer-reviewed international journal for academicians working in language testing and assessment in the field of first and second language. The publication is to encourage advancement in theories related to language testing. Therefore, the journal only publishes original works, in terms of original research and review, supported by empirical data or secondary data which can potentially contribute to innovation in the following fields:

  • Language testing
  • Language teaching assessment
  • Classroom assessment
  • Language test policies
  • Standardized test such as TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, FCE, CPE, etc.
  • Statistics for Language testing and assessment 
  • Other related topics in language testing and assessment

The manuscripts selected are those which can contribute globally to the field, rather than works applicable in local context. The journal publishes three issues annually, i.e. March, July, and November.
