Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

When submitting a manuscript, the author should follow the guidelines below.

1) The manuscript should be within the scope and focus of this journal subject.

2) The manuscript is sent in Ms. Word format with the following conditions:

  • A4 paper (21 cm x 21,7cm) with the page margin; Left (2 cm), top (2 cm), Right (2 cm), and bottom (2 cm).
  • The manuscript consists of 3000-7000 words.
  • The script is written in one column with Times New Roman font 11, except for the title (Times New Roman font 11), and abstract (Times New Roman font 9) of the manuscript.
  • The conjunctions (and, in, or with, as well, about, that, against, so, because, then, for the sake,) and prepositions (in, to, from, into, within, by, through) are written in lowercase.

3) Manuscripts are written with the following regulations.

  • Title (Times New Roman Font 14); contains uppercase in the first letter and bold; 1 space).
  • Author(s) Name (Times New Roman 11).
  • Author(s) Affiliation (Times New Roman font 11), contains the name of the institution/organization/workplace/author’s works/study place.
  • Correspondence (Times New Roman 11), contains the first author’s email address.
  • Abstract (Times New Roman font 9; contains uppercase in the first letter and bold; 1 space). The manuscript abstract is written in English only. 
  • Keywords (Times New Roman 9) and their contents (Times New Roman 9), keywords are written in English; with a number of 3-5 keywords.
  • Introduction (Times New Roman font 11 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman font 11; 1 space).
  • Method (Times New Roman font 11 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman font 11; 1 space).
  • Findings (Times New Roman font 11) and its contents (Times New Roman font 11; 1 space).
  • Discussion (Century Gothic font 11 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman font 11; 1 space). Descriptions of the findings and discussion should be made separately.
  • Conclusion and Suggestion (Times New Roman font 11and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman font 11; 1 space).
  • References (Times New Roman 11) and reading sources (Times New Roman font 11; 1 space). The Source of citations and bibliography must be the same. The writing format of a bibliography refers to the American Psychological Association (APA). Citation and bibliography writing are advised to use the Mendeley application.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
  4. However, authors are not allowed to send their manuscript to another scientific journal once it has been decided to be reviewed by reviewers at the International Research in Society and Culture (IRSC).
