Author Guidelines

J-SIGN Journal is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal. The main aim is to facilitate the development of scientific knowledge and innovation in the field of Informatics, Information System and Artificial Intelligence. Only 5 selected articles will be published in each issue (equals to 10 articles per volume/annually).

  1. The journal is published in Bahasa.
  2. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  3. The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  4. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  5. The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  6. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found below.
  7. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  8. Use of a tool, either Mendeley or Zotero, for reference management and formatting, and choose IEEE style. It is compulsory for authors to obey this.

Each paper consists of 10 pages including references. The paper submitted to the journal should be prepared according to the following structure:

  1. A concise and informative title 
  2. Full names and affiliations of all the authors, including e-mail addresses
  3. An informative abstract of 150–200 words
  4. A maximum of 30% of similarities is allowed for all submitted papers
  5. A list of relevant keywords at a minimum of five keywords
  6. Full text of the paper
  7. List of references, 6 sources at a minimum and 15 years at maximum

We require that all co-authors be added to the metadata in the third step of article submission. Otherwise, they will not be included in the article when it is published. Download the template HERE

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Authors who publish with J-SIGN Journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
