PERANCANGAN KOORDINASI SINYAL ANTAR SIMPANG PADA RUAS JALAN TGK. H. MOHD. DAUD BEUREUEH

Abstract


The number of intersections in Banda Aceh City can cause its own problems. This happened on Jalan Tgk. H. Mohd. Daud Beureueh which has three intersections namely Simpang PDAM, Simpang Jambotape, and Simpang Lima. The problem is the vehicle has to stop at every intersection because it gets a red light signal. This causes inconvenience to the drivers. For this reason, it is necessary to coordinate the signals at the three intersections. The purpose of this research is to get better performance after coordination. This research requires data traffic volume at the three intersections, cycle time, vehicle speed, and geometric intersection. Data were collected by conducting direct surveys at the three intersections on Jalan Tgk. H. Mohd. Daud Beureueh. Intersection performance is calculated using the MKJI method and the SIDRA Intersection program. In planning the time adjusts to the largest time cycle of the three intersections. After getting a new time cycle, the signal coordination between intersections is carried out by paying attention to the time offset based on the travel time from intersection I to intersection III. When the existing condition is known, the third intersection has not been coordinated. After the coordination signal for the three intersections has been carried out, the cycle time chosen is the largest cycle time, namely at Simpang Lima of 204 seconds. The cycle times of all intersections are the same for all three intersections. By using MKJI 1997, the performance of Simpang PDAM after planning obtained DS 0.65, QL 132.67 m, and Delay 68.2 seconds and Simpang Jambotape performance obtained DS 0.84, QL 168 m, and Delay 88 seconds. Meanwhile, with SIDRA, the performance of the Simpang PDAM with DS 0,40, QL 107 m, and Delay 54,3 second, was obtained and the Simpang Jambotape performance obtained DS 0,81, QL 272,1 m, and Delay 88,5 seconds. The bandwith obtained was 52 seconds where the platoon departed from the Simpang PDAM to Simpang Jambotape and Simpang Lima continued without any obstacles along the road. whose traffic lights have been coordinated so as to reduce delays and travel time.
