PERUBAHAN TEMPORAL POLA PERMUKIMAN TRANSMIGRASI TAHUN 1982-2020 KECAMATAN JAGONG JEGET KABUPATEN ACEH TENGAH

Abstract

Jagong Jeget is a sub-district in Aceh Tengah Regency which was originally a transmigration area. The transmigration program in the Jagong Jeget sub-district was considered successful, marked by the increase in population and administratively its status changed to a subdistrict. Since the beginning of the transmigration program until now, Jagong Jeget District has experienced extensive development in all fields, especially the growth and development of settlements. However, in previous studies, no one has mentioned how the temporal changes of settlements are as implications of increasing settlement facilities and infrastructure in Jagong Jeget District. This research was conducted with descriptive and qualitative methods to see the temporal changes of settlements through GIS mapping with the overlay technique of 1982-2021. Whereas, to find out the implications of improving regional facilities and infrastructure in Jagong Jeget District, the correlation method was used. As for the results of the study, it is known that there is a settlement growth marked by a temporal change in the area of the settlement area in 1982 as much as 130.75 Ha, increasing in 2012 the settlement area to 212.56 Ha (38,49%), then in 2020 an increase to 365,82 Ha (41,89%), with a pattern of settlements that are formed along the road and river network, extending and clustering following the road network and government services, education and worship facilities.
