PENGARUH LAMA PERENDAMAN TERHADAP DURABILITAS CAMPURAN BETON ASPAL RETONA BLEND 55

Abstract
The road pavement layer, especially the surface layer, must be able to withstand the load, friction and distribute the wheel load of the vehicle and withstand the effects of weather for a relatively long time. The surface layer must be impermeable so that water that falls on it does not easily seep into the layers below which result in the weakening of the pavement construction as a whole. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of immersion time on Marshall parameters and the durability of the AC-WC asphalt concrete mixture. In this study, several variations of immersion time were carried out using Retona Blend 55 with variations in the immersion time carried out at a time limit of 3 x 24 hours. In this study, the first step was to look for Optimum Bitumen Content (OBC) from variations in Retona Blend 55 levels. After obtaining OBC, then the immersion time was varied with variations of 30 minutes, 1 x 24 hours, 2 x 24 hours and 3 x 24 hours on OBC. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it shows that the immersion time affects the Marshall parameters and the durability value of the AC-WC mixture. The AC-WC mixture using Retona Blend 55 experienced a drastic decrease with increasing immersion time. The durability value at 1 x 24 hour immersion still met the requirements of ≥ 90% residual stability value, while the residual stability value at 2 x 24 hour and 3 x 24 hour immersion was ≤ 90%.
