SELULOSA FIBER MESH BAHAN TAMBAH CAMPURAN STONE MASTIC ASPHALT

Abstract


Mixture of Stone Mastic Asphalt, graded gaps that use high asphalt content so that it requires the addition of stabilizers and reinforcement (additives). Fiber is an additional material that can be used. Synthetic fibers in large quantities can be made at low cost, one of which is Fiber mesh. This study aims to analyze the cellulose Fiber mesh as an added material on the Tensile Strength value. The research method was a mixture of Stone Mastic Asphalt, by varying Fiber mesh as an additive (fiber). The fiber mesh used in this study is fiber mesh with varying grades and lengths starting from 0%; 0.1%; 0.2%; 0.3% and 0.4%, while the fiber mesh length starts from 0.36 cm; 1.08 cm and 1.80 cm. Then the mixture is tested, to obtain the Tensile Strength value. The results of the study obtained that the maximum tensile strength was found at a length variation of 0.36 cm with a content of 0.3%.
