EVALUASI PERBANDINGAN SPEKTRUM RESPON ANTARA SNI 1726 – 2012 DAN SNI 1726 – 2019 UNTUK BANGUNAN TAHAN GEMPA DI KABUPATEN SORONG (STUDI KASUS HOTEL AIMAS CONFERENCE CENTER – KABUPATEN SORONG)

Abstract

Sorong City, located in a seismically active region, is highly susceptible to earthquakes. As the field of civil engineering rapidly evolves, particularly in structural design, accurate earthquake load analysis becomes crucial. This study focuses on evaluating earthquake loads using various analytical methods to ensure the structural integrity of buildings in such high-risk areas. The study employs three primary methods for earthquake load analysis: equivalent static analysis, spectrum response analysis and time history analysis. Each method offers a different perspective on how seismic forces impact structures: Equivalent Static Analysis, Spectrum Response Analysis and Time History Analysis. To conduct the analysis, the study utilizes both primary and secondary data. Primary data involves on-site measurements and location-specific information about the building's structural points. Secondary data includes As-built Drawings, which provide detailed schematics of the building, and relevant standards such as the Indonesian Earthquake Codes (SNI) and Loading Regulations for buildings (1983). The results reveal that variations in spectral acceleration (Sa) significantly affect shear forces and displacements within the building. These variations are crucial because they influence the required dimensions of structural cross-sections to ensure safety and stability. The study highlights that even with changes in Sa, the building remains compliant with safety standards set forth by the SNI 1726-2012 and SNI 1726-2019 codes. These codes outline the procedures for designing earthquake-resistant buildings and structures. Overall, the study underscores the importance of incorporating advanced analytical methods in earthquake load analysis. By doing so, engineers can better predict and mitigate the effects of seismic forces, ensuring that structures are designed to withstand potential earthquakes and protect occupants effectively.
