Abstract

The abundant use of concrete as a road clamping material in parking, especially in residential areas, increases the area covered by concrete. This leads to a decrease in the infiltration rate, a shorter accumulation time, and stagnation. In fact, the use of normal, waterproof concrete is not always suitable for all types of structures; there are those that are better suited to use pervious concrete, for example, parking areas, canal covers, reservoir buildings, and others. It's meant to increase the rate of infiltration. It is recognized that the carbon footprint of concrete must be kept within limits to ensure sustainability. Thus, efforts have been made to design a variety of waterproof concrete where cement is partially replaced by fly ash and plastic in various proportions to reduce its carbon footprint. The aim of this study was to find out the characteristics of concrete escaping water with partial subtitulation of fly ash and plastic aggregates. The method used is the experimental method. By making variations of the test object, namely the concrete cylinder test object with the size of 150 mm x 300 mm, the planned concrete design mix is 25 MPa of normal concrete quality, and the water-fading concrete mix with the subtitling material fly ash is 15% against the weight of cement and plastic fiber of 1%, 2.5%, and 5% against the mass of fine aggregate. The test object for each variation and percentage is three test objects. Testing the characteristics of concrete was done at the age of 28 days. The results of this study are the compressive strength test results between BN and BSN 1, where there is a decrease in compressive strength of 27%, and then for BSN 2, BSN 3, and BSN 4, where there is a decrease in strength as the percentage of plastic aggregates increases.
