Pengalaman Perawat Pendidik Dalam Mengajar Mata Kuliah Keperawatan Bencana

Abstrak

Pencapaian kompetensi peserta didik tidak terlepas dari kemampuan dan pengalaman pendidik dalam mengajarkan mata ajar tersebut. Semakin baik kemampuan dan pengalaman pendidik, maka diharapkan akan semakin baik pula mutu pelajaran yang diberikan kepada perserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman perawat pendidik dalam mengajar mata kuliah keperawatan bencana di D-III Keperawatan di Provinsi Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi deskriptif. Sampel berjumlah 16 orang yang dipilih secara purposif pada empat Akademi/D-III Keperawatan di dua kabuten/kota di Provinsi Aceh. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan teknik content analisis. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasikan adanya persamaan yang signifikan antara persepsi, kompetensi dan ketersediaan sumber daya mata kuliah keperawatan bencana yang digunakan pada keempat akademi keperawatan. Isi materi pembelajaran mata kuliah yang telah digunakan belum semuanya sesuai dengan tujuan kompetensi, karena masih terbatasnya sumber referensi tentang isi materi keperawatan bencana. Materi dan kompetensi yang digunakan bertujuan agar mahasiswa sanggup memahami dan mempelajari lebih banyak mengenai pengertian bencana secara umum dan pengertian keperawatan bencana. Kepada pendidik mata kuliah keperawatan bencana pada keempat Diploma III/Akademi Keperawatan diharapkan dapat menambah materi keperawatan bencana dan menyesuaikannya dengan isu-isu tentang bencana terkini.

Abstract

Students’ achievement on the competence depends on their teachers’ ability and experience in teaching the subject. The better of ability and experience of educator is expected that the better of the Subject’s quality given to student. The purpose of this study was to explore experiences of nurse educator in teaching the disaster nursing subject in the nursing academy around the Aceh Province. The study was qualitative study using descriptive phenomenology design. Six teen participants were selected purposively from four Nursing Diploma III/Academy in two districts/cities of the Aceh Province. Data was analyzed by using content analysis. Results show that there was significant similar of perception, competence and availability resource on the disaster nursing subject that were conducted on four nursing academy. The content of the subjects that was used on nursing academy was not yet appropriated with the goal of competence because of limited references about content of disaster nursing. The goal of material and competence that was used was to make students understand and learned more about definition of disaster and disaster nursing. The nurse educators who are teaching the disaster nursing subjects on four nursing academy can add more information or material appropriate to evidence based and issues of disaster in new days.
