HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DENGAN SIKAP IBU DALAM PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Menyusui adalah proses yang alamiah dalam memberikan makanan berupa Air Susu Ibu  (ASI). ASI eksklusif adalah pemberian ASI selama 6 bulan tanpa tambahan makanan lain. Dukungan keluarga dibutuhkan oleh ibu dan sikap ibu dibutuhkan dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan sikap ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif. Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan retrospektif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 83 ibu menyusui yang mempunyai anak usia diatas 6 bulan-12 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tenayan Raya. Sampel diambil berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dengan teknik accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dukungan keluarga dan sikap ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif yang telah valid dan reliabel. Hasil: hasil penelitian menggambarkan responden berusia dewasa awal (53,0%), dan sebagian besar tidak bekerja (84,3%). Dukungan keluarga pada saat pemberian ASI baik dan ibu memiliki sikap positif dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif (68,3%). Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara dukungan keluarga dengan sikap ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan p-value = 0,000. Kesimpulan: dukungan keluarga sangat dibutuhkan ibu menyusui sehingga sikap ibu juga positif sehingga tercapai keberhasilan dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif.

ABSTRACT

Introduction:  Breastfeeding is a natural process in providing food in the form of breast milk. Exclusive breastfeeding provides breast milk for 6 months without additional food. Family support is needed by the mother and the attitude of the mother is needed in exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to find out the relationship between family support with mother's attitude in exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: This research design uses a descriptive correlation with a retrospective approach. The sample in this study was 83 breastfeeding mothers who had children aged over 6 months-12 months in the working area of the Tenayan Raya Health Center. Samples were taken based on inclusion criteria with accidental sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire on family support and mother's attitude in offering exclusive breastfeeding that is valid and reliable. Result: the results showed that the respondents’ were in their early adulthood (53,0%), and most of them did not work (84,3%). Family support during breastfeeding is good and the mother has a positive attitude in exclusive breastfeeding (68,3%). The results of statistical tests showed that there was a significant relationship between family support and mother’s attitude in exclusive breastfeeding with p-value = 0.000. Conclusion: Family support is needed by breastfeeding mothers so that the mother's attitude is also positive so that success in exclusive breastfeeding is achieved.
