Self Efficacy dan Perilaku Merokok Remaja

Fenomena remaja merokok di usia muda makin hari makin meningkat, perilaku merokok yang dilakukan remaja tersebut erat kaitannya dengan self efficacy remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan self efficacy dengan perilaku merokok remaja. Populasi  dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa/siswi di Sekolah Menengah Atas, dengan sampel 368 siswa/i.  Desain penelitian menggunakan penelitian analitik observasional, dengan tehnik penarikan sampel menggunakan stratified proportional random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan mulai 16 April sampai dengan 23 April 2015 dengan menggunakan kuisioner.  Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang significant antara self efficacy dengan perilaku merokok remaja P = 0,000; terdapat hubungan yang significant antara performance accomplishment dengan perilaku merokok remaja P= 0,000;  terdapat hubungan yang significant antara vicarious experience dengan perilaku merokok remaja P=  0,000;  tidak terdapat hubungan antara social persuation dengan perilaku merokok remaja P= 0,064;  terdapat hubungan yang significant antara emotional arousal dengan perilaku merokok remaja P = 0,000.  Variabel yang sangat erat berhubungan dengan perilaku merokok remaja adalah emotional arousal P = 0,000 Odds Ratio  66,667.

Abstract

The phenomena of young people smoking keep increasing from day to day.  This  adolescent smoking behavior  is closely related to self efficacy. This study is intended to find out the relationship between self efficacy and  adolescent smoking behavior at  senior high schools. The population of this study  was 8912 senior high school students and 368 students were taken as the sample.  This study design used observational analytic  method and  proportional stratified random sampling. The data collection using questionnaires was conducted from 16 to 23 April 2015. The collected data were analyzed by using binary logistic regression analysis.  The result of this study shows that there is a significant relationship between self efficacy and adolescent smoking behavior (P=0.000); there is a significant relationship between performance accomplishment and adolescent smoking behavior (P=0.000); there is a significant relationship between vicarious experience with adolescent smoking behavior (P=0.000); there is a significant relationship between emotional arousal with adolescent smoking behavior (P=0.000); and there is no relationship between social persuation and adolescent smoking behavior (P=0,064).  This finding shows that the variable related to emotional arousal  is very closely associated with adolescent smoking behavior (P=0.000) with odds ratio 66.667.
