Abstract

The world fertility rate is decreasing every year. The prevalence of infertility in both men and women has also increased by almost 15%. Fertility can be influenced by various factors, one of which is sleep quality. This study aims to determine the relationship and influence of sleep quality on fertility. This study uses a literature review method by comparing various studies related to sleep quality and fertility. From the results of the study, it was found that sleep quality had an effect on sperm parameters, the process of conception, and the menstrual cycle, but had no effect on reproductive hormones. Further research is needed to determine the exact mechanism of this relationship.
