Author Guidelines

Articles submitted for Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra have not been published elsewhere and are not under review for possible publication elsewhere. All articles written in Indonesia and English. Submissions should be 15 page (including abstract, table(s), figure(s) and references) in A4 size paper. The article is typed on the Microsoft Word with a line space of 1, font type Times New Roman, font size 12. The body of the article consists of four main sections; namely: introduction, method, findings and discussion, and conclusion.

Every manuscript submitted for publication in Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin software. If the editors or peer reviewers detect plagiarism, the author/s will be informed and requested to rewrite the text or provide any necessary citations.

Title: the title is within 20 words maximum (not including prepositions).

Abstract: abstract should have an abstract is within 250 words in length, consists of research objectives, methods, research results, and conclusions. Followed by three to five keywords related to your article. 

Introduction: containing backgrounds of the problem (supported by relevant
theories and recent research), previous research studies, and objective of the study.

Methods: This section contains explanation of the research approach, subjects of the study, data collection and analysis techniques. Writing in the method section does not use subchapters.

Findings and discussion: intended to give interpretation and meaning to the results of the study in accordance with the theories and references that are used. Interpretation should be enriched with referencing, comparing, or contrasting with findings of previous research.

Conclusion: written briefly and clearly related to the hypothesis and answer the research problem. Prospects for the development of research results and prospects for further research applications in the future (based on results and discussion) can also be added. Conclusions are written in paragraph form, not numbered.

References: follow APA, written alphabetically, without numbers.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
