Analisis Tokoh dan Penokohan Sastra Anak Dalam Antologi Cerpen Asal Usul Bunga Rampai Cerita Rakyat Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the identity of the characters, and (2) the description of the characterization contained in the story. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with structural approach. The data of this research are words, phrases, and sentences that show the characteristics of the characters. The data source of this research is the short story texts "Kisah Putri Areni" and "Kisah Putri Buruti Siraso" from the short story anthology "Asal Usul Bunga Rampai Cerita Rakyat Sumatera Utara". The results show that there are two techniques used in the depiction of character identity, namely analytic techniques and dramatic techniques. The first story with the title " Kisah Putri Areni" describes the character using analytic techniques that are seen directly in the story. Furthermore, in the second story, " Kisah Putri Buruti Siraso" describes the character using dramatic techniques consisting of several kinds of techniques, namely conversation techniques, thoughts and feelings techniques, stream of consciousness techniques, behavioral techniques, character reaction techniques and setting techniques.
