EDUKASI PEMILAHAN SAMPAH UNTUK MENDUKUNG PERILAKU HIDUP BERSIH DAN SEHAT BAGI WARGA DAN SEKITAR KAMPUS UNIVERSITAS SYIAH KUALA

Abstract


The purpose of this community service (PkM) is to provide education about waste sorting for the community around the Syiah Kuala University (USK) campus, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The implementation of PkM is carried out by involving the USK Waste Bank (BSU) with several stages, namely: the distribution of online questionnaires, waste sorting education, and publications about the waste management process on social media since 2020. The results of a survey of 325 respondents showed the desire of the community for waste sorting is very high (97.5%). However, the community wants to sort waste if there is a waste bank in the nearest neighborhood. Sorting household waste can provide benefits for reducing the burden of landfills and provide added value for waste owners/depositors at BSU.
