SOSIALISASI SERTIFIKASI SISTEM JAMINAN HALAL PADA UMKM LEZZETLI BOLEN KOTA BANDA ACEH

Abstract

The objective of this service is to socialize the certification process of the Halal Assurance System (SJH) in relation to food-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) products at MSMEs Lezzetli Bolen located in Banda Aceh City. This service was conducted by a team from the department of agricultural product technology, involving students who had completed the halal assurance system course as part of their project assignment. The execution of this initiative calls for offering direct support and conducting surveys through on-site visits to MSMEs. This includes conducting interviews, disseminating information, and imparting knowledge pertaining to the SJH to MSME stakeholders. The aim is to foster a comprehensive understanding of the SJH among MSME actors, as well as to elucidate the contents of halal certification documents. According to the findings derived from interviews and surveys conducted prior to the process of socialization, it has been observed that partners possess pre-existing sales networks both inside the city and beyond the immediate region. Partners, in addition, acquire a limited amount of knowledge regarding halal certification. Following the process of socializing and mentorship, partners have acquired a comprehensive understanding about the system. Consequently, they express their willingness to engage in the production of halal certification documents by utilizing this particular service. The establishment known as MSME Lezetli Bolen, situated in the city of Banda Aceh, is presently in possession of a preliminary halal certification document. This document has been officially submitted to the LPPOM MPU Aceh halal certification board for review and consideration.
