Focus and Scope
Jurnal Teknologi dan Industri Pertanian Indonesia is dedicated to publish highest quality of research paper on all aspects of technology processing of agricultural products. Special emphasis is given to research that discusses postharvest technology, food chemistry and technology that is industrial relevance and offers industry and academia strategies to develop quality food and agricultural based products.

Peer Review Process
- All peer review publications will be refereed in double-blind review process by at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area.
- Results of the review process are normally available within one month of submission.
Publication Frequency
Indonesian Journal of Agro-Industry and Technology is scheduled for publication two times a year, in April and October.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
Ethics Policy
PUBLICATION ETHICS JURNAL TEKNOLOGI DAN INDUSTRI PERTANIAN INDONESIA
Jurnal Teknologi dan Industri Pertanian Indonesia is peer-review journal which upholds the standards of academic publication ethics and against publication malpractises including plagiarism. It is therefore important to agree the proper ethical behavior for scientific journals publication of all parties including : the publishers, authors, editors, and peer reviewers to develop conductive scientific environment and to avoid certain problems that may arise due to some conflict of interests.
Authorship of Research Paper.
Authorship of the research paper should be includes to those who have performed a contribution to the concept of the research, research design, data acquisition and analysis, or interpretation of the reported study. Co-athors should be listed as to the entire persons who have made significant contributions of the manuscript. Corresponding author have to responsible for the paper authorship. The corresponding author should make sure thal all the co-authors are listed in paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the paper and have agreed to the submission for publication.
Duties of Authors.
Authors are responsible to provide original data without plagiarism and fraudulent data. Many forms of plagiarisms such as copying or pharaphrasing substantial parts of anothers paper without attribution, passing off researchers are prohibited. Author should ensure that they have written entirely original works concerning the manuscript submitted to Indonesian Journal of Agro-Industry and Technology. Authors are obliged to follow in peer review process set by Indonesian Journal of Agro-Industry and Technology. The submitted manuscript should not be under consideration or accepted for other journals. Where parts of the data have been published elsewhere, the sources have to be acknowledged or cited properly. Proper citation and permission are required when the authors reproduce data from other sources.
Duties of Editors.
Indonesian Journal of Agro-Industry and Technology editors are responsible for deciding which submitted articles should be published and which one to be rejected. They have to evaluate the submitted manuscript for their intellectual and academic content without discrimination on race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, political or geographical origin of the authors. The Indonesian Journal of Agro-Industry and Technology editors must not spread any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate. Unpublished materials disclosed in a submittes manuscript must not be used in an editors own research without the express written consent of the author.
Duties of Reviewers.
Reviewers are requested to assits in improving the quality of the submitted manuscript through an objective review process within a scheduled period of time, and to contribute to decision-making process on the manuscript. The editors have to inform reviewers if find any published or submitted content similar to that under their review. Reviewers shouls avoid conflict of interest with respect to the research, the authors and/or the research funders. Any confidentially of information supplied by the editor or author should be maintained.

GenAI Policy
Jurnal Teknologi dan Industri Pertanian Indonesia establishes guidelines for the ethical and responsible use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in scientific research and publication within our journal. These guidelines apply to all authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial staff involved in the submission, review, and publication processes of scientific manuscripts.
Definitions
Generative AI: Artificial intelligence systems capable of creating new content, including but not limited to text, images, code, data, and other research materials (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, GPT-4, DALL-E, Midjourney, GitHub Copilot).
AI-Generated Content: Any material produced wholly or partially by generative AI systems.
AI-Assisted Research: Research activities in which generative AI tools are used to support, enhance, or expedite the research process.
Ethical Uses of Generative AI
Generative AI may be used ethically in the following contexts:
- Assisting with literature reviews and summarizing existing research
- Grammar checks, language editing, and writing enhancement
- Code generation and debugging for data analysis
- Brainstorming and generating ideas for research questions
- Translating content between languages
- Creating initial drafts for further human refinement
- Data visualization and image creation (with appropriate validation)
- Assisting with statistical analysis and guidance on interpretation
Prohibited Uses of Generative AI
The following uses of generative AI are strictly forbidden:
- Fabrication or falsification of data, results, or experimental findings
- Creation of false citations, references, or bibliographic information
- Generation of false images, graphics, or visual data representations
- Plagiarism or unauthorized reproduction of copyrighted content
- Submission of manuscripts generated entirely by AI without substantial human contribution
- Use of AI to circumvent the peer review process or manipulate review outcomes
- Making misleading or false scientific claims
- Creation of false author profiles or institutional affiliations
Author Disclosure Requirements
Authors must provide transparent disclosures regarding the use of AI:
- All uses of generative AI tools must be explicitly stated in the manuscript.
- Specify which AI tools were used and for what purposes.
- Include AI usage information in the Methods section or a dedicated AI Disclosure section.
- Describe the extent of human oversight and validation of AI-generated content.
- Acknowledge limitations or potential biases introduced by the AI tools.
Generative AI systems cannot be listed as authors on scholarly publications. Authorship is reserved for human contributors who meet the established authorship criteria. However, the use of AI tools must be appropriately acknowledged in the manuscript.
Author Responsibilities
When using generative AI, authors must ensure that:
- All AI-generated content is thoroughly reviewed and validated by human experts.
- The factual accuracy of AI-generated information is independently verified.
- Data or analyses produced by AI are cross-checked using established methods.
- Potential biases or errors in AI output are identified and addressed.
- Final responsibility for all content remains with the human authors.
Reviewer and Editor Responsibilities
Reviewers and editors should:
- Evaluate manuscripts with AI disclosure statements with appropriate scrutiny.
- Assess whether the use of AI is disclosed accurately and applied ethically.
- Verify the validity of AI-assisted research methods and findings.
- Consider potential biases or limitations introduced by AI tools.
- Request additional information regarding AI usage as necessary.
Authors must ensure that the use of generative AI tools complies with data privacy regulations and institutional policies. Sensitive, proprietary, or confidential research data must not be entered into publicly available AI systems without proper safeguards and permissions.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that AI-generated content does not infringe existing intellectual property rights. This includes verifying that AI output does not contain copyrighted materials or violate patent protections.
Consequences of Violating These Policies
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Rejection of submitted manuscripts
- Retraction of published articles
- Editorial sanctions against authors
- Notification to the authors' institutions
- Reporting to relevant professional organizations
- Temporary or permanent bans on journal submissions
This policy will be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect the evolving AI technology, ethical standards, and best practices of the community. Authors and reviewers will be informed of significant policy changes through official journal communications.
Repository Policy
JTIPI has the following repository policy.
1. Submitted Version
JTIPI allows authors to store their submitted manuscript in their personal repositories or other repositories which cannot be accessed by public. These repositories include but not limited to Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive, and Apple iCloud.
2. Accepted Version
JTIPI allows authors to store their submitted manuscript in their personal repositories or other repositories which cannot be accessed by public. These repositories include but not limited to Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive, and Apple iCloud.
3. Published Version
JTIPI allows and encourages authors to store their published version (pdf version) in their institutional repositories, personal repositories and other repositories, and make it accessible for any use, even commercially, with proper retribution. All of published articles in JTIPI are deposited in Portal Garuda repository.
Advertising Policy
- All advertisements and commercially sponsored publications are independent from editorial decisions. The Editorial board does not endorse any product or service marked as an advertisement or promoted by a sponsor in JTIPI publications. Editorial content is not compromised by commercial or financial interests, or by any specific arrangements with advertising clients or sponsors.
- The JTIPI management reserves the right to decline any type of advertising that is damaging to the brand of JTIPI or is inappropriate to the content held on the journal.
- The JTIPI will not accept advertising for products or services known to be harmful to health (e.g. tobacco and alcohol products).
- Advertisements may not be deceptive or misleading, and must be verifiable. Advertisements should clearly identify the advertiser and the product or service being offered. Exaggerated or extravagantly worded copy will not be allowed. Advertisements will not be accepted if they appear to be indecent or offensive in either text or artwork, or if they relate to content of a personal, racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, or religious nature.
- Once an advertisement has been deployed online, it will be withdrawn from the journal site at any time if the Editor(s)-in-Chief or Publisher request its removal.
- The JTIPI will not allow any treatment-specific or drug-specific campaign to be targeted to a specific article(s) or on any page where content relates to the product(s) being advertised. (Advertisers may not link to articles using keywords; they may not target advertising for a specific product on the condition that it appear in the same location and at the same time as a specific article mentioning that product and they may not refer to an article published at the same time as the advertisement appears).
- Advertisements and editorial content must be clearly distinguishable. The journal will not publish “advertorial” content, and sponsored supplements must be clearly indicated as such. If a supplement did not undergo peer review or underwent a peer review-process different from the rest of the journal that should be explicitly stated.
- Editorial decisions will not be influenced by current or potential sponsors and advertisers, and will not be influenced by marketing decisions. Advertisers and sponsors have no control or influence over the results of searches a user may conduct on the website by keyword or search topic.
- If any advert is requested outside of journal standard advertising positions then a request should be made to editorial who will respond with a full and final decision within three business days.
- Information about complaints concerning advertisements will be included in the Advertisements page.
