Abstract

The Performance of new superior rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties at different fertilizers

Abstract, This study aims to determine the adaptability of new superior varieties and the dose of inorganic fertilizer with organic fertilizer so that it can increase rice production. This research was carried out in Cot Meulangen Village, Blang Bintang, Aceh Besar. Starting from 10 June to 18 October 2015. This study used a 2x5 factorial randomized block design with 3 replications. Factors studied included varieties (Inpari Mugibat and Suluttan Unsrat 2) and combinations of Inorganic fertilizers (100%), Inorganic (75%) + Organic (25%), Inorganic (50%) + Organic (50%), Inorganic (25% ) + Organic (75%), Organic (100%). The variables observed included plant height aged 15, 30, 60 and 90 DAP (Day After Planting) (cm), wet weight and dry plant weight aged 15, 30, 60 and 90 DAP (g), number of tillers each clump aged 15, 30, 60 and 90 DAP (g), number of panicles each clump, panicle length in one clump of plants, percentage of grains contains (%), percentage of empty grain (%), weight of 1000 grain contains (g), weight of grain containing each clump (g), weight of grain each plot (kg), production of each hectare (tons). Variations in soil chemical characteristics consist of soil pH, total soil carbon (%), total soil nitrogen (%), and available soil P. The results of the study showed that the use of a combination of fertilizer doses and several varieties with different levels of growth and yield. The dosage of Inorganic fertilizer (100%) and Suluttan Unsrat 2 variety is the dose and variety which tends to be better in showing growth and yield.
