The Effect of Different Doses of Coffee Weste and Manure on Growth and Yield of Mung Beans (Vigna radiata L.)
Abstract
Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of different doses of Arabica coffee weste and manure and interaction between them on growth and yield of mung bean. This research was carried out in Pulo Piku Village, Darul Hasanah District, Southeast Aceh Regency from September to December 2021. This study used a 3x3 factorial randomized block design with 3 replications, so there were 9 treatment combinations and 27 experimental units. There are 2 factors studied, namely doses of arabica coffee weste and manure. The first factor is the doses of Arabica coffee weste (A) consisting of 3 levels, namely: A1 = 10 tons ha-1 (4 kg/bed), A2= 15 tons ha-1 (6 kg/bed) and A3= 20 tons ha-1. 1 (8 kg/bed). The second factor is doses of manure (P) consisting of 3 levels, namely: P1 = 5 tons ha-1 (2 kg/bed), P2 = 10 tons ha-1 (4 kg/bed) and P3 = 15 tons ha-1 ( 6 kg/bed). Data analysis used ANOVA and continued with the Honest Significant Difference at 0.05 level. Parameters observed were plant height, number of productive fruit branches, number of pods per plant, weight of seed planted, weight of 100 seeds and yield potential. The results showed that doses of Arabica coffee weste had a very significant effect on the number of branches 45 and 60 DAP, number of pods per plant, seed weight per plant and yield potential and significantly affected plant height 45 DAP, number of branches 30 DAP and weight of 100 seeds. The best growth and yield of mung bean was found at 15 tons ha-1. Doses of manure had a very significant effect on plant height 45 DAP, number of branches 30 and 45 DAP and significantly affected plant height at 30 DAP. The best growth and yield of mung bean was found 10 tons ha-1 of manure. There was a very significant interaction due to the difference in the dose of Arabica coffee grounds and manure on plant height and the number of branches 45 DAP, the best was found in the combination dose of Arabica coffee grounds 15 tons ha-1 with a dose of 15 tons ha-1 manure.
