Geunta is an academic journal initiated by the Research & Development Center for the Arts of Syiah Kuala University as part of the center’s mission to explore, present, and inform about the treasures of knowledge and latest developments in the Cultural and the arts studies.
Geunta is a biannually journal dedicated to promoting the scholarship on the arts practices, development, education and socialization and thus, we invite manuscripts presenting original empirical research and papers that synthesize and evaluate studies that relate to practices, development, education, and socialization of arts. We also consider qualitative work, case studies, essays, interviews, biographical profiles, and book reviews.
We are also keen on publishing research on the untaken spaces in recent Indonesia’s academic activities, including dimensions and perspectives in a unique presentation, and aesthetic concepts and harmony beyond artistic activists’ domination. Papers that appreciate the Arts as a mainstream in filling the negation of space in social sciences, humanities and even technology by presenting elements of creativity in the spaces of academic activity in various disciplines in an effort to achieve balance or synchronization in the order of human life are also encouraged.
