POLA ASUH PENGGUNAAN INTERNET DENGAN PENGGUNAAN INTERNET PADA ANAK: STUDI KASUS PADA 4 SEKOLAH DASAR DI BANDA ACEH

Abstract


Pola asuh penggunaan internet adalah peran orang tua dan proses interaksi orangtua dengan anak terkait penggunaan internet. Pola asuh penggunaan internet yang efektif
akan membantu anak untuk menggunakan internet secara positif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh penggunaan internet dengan penggunaan internet pada anak dan mengidentifikasikan pola asuh penggunaan internet yang umumnya diterapkan oleh orang tua di Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang melibatkan 160 orang tua, yang dipilih melalui teknik multistage cluster dan disproportionate stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan Internet Parenting Style Scale dan waktu penggunaan internet dalam sehari diberikan dalam bentuk pertanyaan pada bagian data demografi skala. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya pola asuh penggunaan internet otoriter yang berkorelasi dengan penggunaan internet anak. Orangtua yang menetapkan pola asuh penggunaan internet otoriter dapat mengurangi
waktu penggunaan internet anak. Sementara itu pola asuh penggunaan internet demokratis, pola asuh penggunaan internet permisif dan pola asuh penggunaan internet pengabaian tidak berkorelasi dengan penggunaan internet anak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kontrol orang tua memiliki peran yang signifikan terhadap lamanya anak menggunakan internet.
