Author Guidelines
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to this guideline. Aceh Journal of Animal Science (AJAS) publishes three type of papers: Full-length paper (Research Paper), Short Communication (Research Note), and Review (Full and Mini Reviews)
The general layout of full-length paper (Research Paper): Title, Author(s) and Affiliation(s), Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments (optional), References.
There is no strict layout for short communication and review papers.
For full-length paper:
1. Title (Fond 14 bold, left justified).
2. Full name of the author(s) (Garamond Fond 12 bold, left justified)
3. Affiliation name and affiliation address of the author(s) and corresponding email (Garamond, Fond 11, centered)
4. The abstract is not more than 300 words (Garamond, Fond 11)
5. Keywords (Garamond, Fond 11). the keywords should differ with the words already exist in the title
6. Introduction (Heading fond 12 bold, content fond 11). The introduction should consist at least problem statement, the state of the arts of the study, gaps, and objective(s).
7. Materials and Methods (Heading fond 12 bold, content fond 11). This section should consist of at least method of the study, experimental design, step by step of working procedure, and data analysis.
8. Results (Heading fond 12 bold, content fond 11).
Results can be presented in the table(s), graphs(s)/figure(s) and narrative. The results of the statistical test should be prepared. The table or figure should be cited in the naration/teks
9. Discussion
The discussion should be made comprehensively, comparative findings with other related studies, theories, and its implication
10. Conclusions (Heading fond 12 bold, content fond 11). The objective should in line with the objective(s).
11. Acknowledgments (Heading fond 12 bold, content fond 11). This is an optional section.
12. References (Heading fond 12 bold, content fond 11)
For books: Surname, Initials. Year. The title of book, Publisher, Place of publication. e.g. Muchlisin, Z.A. 2010. Introduction to strategic development. IASD Publishing, New York. (For two authored book): Muchlisin, Z.A., M.F. Almizan. 2014. Introduction to ichthyology. Fajar Harapan, Banda Aceh.

For published conference proceedings: Surname, Initials. Year. The title of proceeding which may include place and date(s) held. Publisher, Place of publication, Page numbers. e.g. Nahar, A.F., M. Subhan, M. Shabri. 2009. The role of ICT in the tourism industry. In: Information and communication technologies in tourism in 2009. Proceedings of the International Conference In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2009. Springer-Verlag, Singapore, pp. 12-32.
For unpublished conference proceedings: Surname, Initials. Year. The title of the paper. Paper presented at Name of Conference, date of the conference, place of conference, available at: URL if freely available on the internet (accessed date). e.g. Mukhtar, D. 2004. Public library reconstruction process in Aceh after the Tsunami.
