Analisis Korelasi Kanonik antara Indikator Sosial Ekonomi dan Indikator Kesehatan serta Gizi di Indonesia Tahun 2020

Abstract

Disparities in health and nutrition indicators among the Indonesian population remain a critical issue, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has exacerbated socio-economic conditions. Factors such as education, income inequality, population density, and household purchasing power are believed to significantly influence public health outcomes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between socio-economic indicators and health and nutrition indicators in Indonesia in 2020. The Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) method was selected for its ability to identify multivariate relationships between two sets of variables simultaneously, making it suitable for examining complex inter-indicator linkages. The analysis revealed that only the first pair of canonical variates—linking socio-economic and health indicators—showed a statistically significant relationship. These findings underscore the importance of policy approaches that go beyond the health sector alone, incorporating education, economic development, and broader social welfare considerations.
