Author Guidelines
Preparation of manuscript
- The manuscript should be preferably prepared in MS Word used Time New Roman 12 with 2 line spaces, except for the title, abstract, table titles, image titles, and bibliography should be typed in 1 line space. The indent for the first line is 0.5 cm.
- The manuscript should be written in A4 (210 x297 mm) size paper with 1″ (2.54 cm) margin on each side.
- All pages must be numbered in the upper right corner and line-numbered continuously.
- Manuscripts be prepared in the English or Indonesian language. It must be clear and concise. However, the manuscript in Indonesian after passing the editor's review will be asked to translate to English.
- All the manuscripts must comply with the journal instructions. Failure to do so will result in the return of the manuscript and a delay in the publication process.
- Please use the template that we already prepared for the Author(s) for consistency and convenience.
- The manuscript should be sent through the official website (http://jurnal.usk.ac.id/JKH/user/register) and email address (jkh@usk.ac.id) for quick review and publication process.
Essential title page information
1. Original Articles
Title.
Concise and informative. Title of the article must be specific and effective, not more than 14 words (not including conjunctions and prepositions), written in capital letters and bold. Indonesian manuscripts must be accompanied by a title in English, and vice versa. Avoid abbreviations and formula where possible.
Author names and affiliations.
The name of the authors should write in full name (not abbreviated) without the academic degree. Present the authors' affiliation addresses (where the actual work was conducted, e.g., the laboratory and affiliated institutions) below the names. Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name. The e-mail address of first author is compulsory. If the authors are more than one person, provide the author's name indexed with Arabic numerals written in superscript.
Abstract and Keywords
A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the methods, the principal results and major conclusions. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. For this reason, references should be avoided and there is no literature citation in the abstract. Non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should also be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at first mention in the abstract itself. Abstract should be written in two languages (English and Indonesian) which is not exceed than 200 words. Abstract equipped with 3-6 keywords that reflect the concept contained in the article. For non-native Indonesian writers, the journal may supply the foreign versions.
Introduction
This section contains the background, objective (s), and benefit (s) of research. Research background should provide an understanding and assessment of the results of previous research, thus the reader does not need to read the previous reports in accordance with related topics.
Material and Methods
Materials and methods part contains the specific materials and equipment used in the research. Research procedures should be written briefly and provide sufficient information that enable the research can be repeated successfully.
Results and Discussion
Results of the study are presented in narrative form, tables, or images. The use of graphics should be reduced if it is already explained in the text. Figures and tables must be numbered and cited in the text. Discussion contains interpretation of the results obtained and comparing with previous reports of similar topic. Preferably if the reference used refer to the article in the field of veterinary sciences that has been published. Avoid repeating the statement that has been written in methods or introduction.
Conclusions
The main conclusions of the study presented in a short conclusions section which stand alone. Avoid writing conclusions by word repetition of the results.
Acknowledgements
Acknowledgements should be placed in a separate section at the end of the article before the references. List here those individuals who help during the research (e.g., research grant provider, etc.). Acknowledgement may be used by the editorial board to determine the recent of the research.
Reference
Reference arranged alphabetically based on the last name of the first author. References with the same name of the authors (group of authors) are listed chronologically. If there is more than one author (group of authors) which publish in the same year, thus the letters a, b, or c, should be added after the year. The composition of literature sources must contain of scientific journals/scientific magazines not less than 70% of total references.

2. Review Articles
Reviews are invited by the editor or authors who submit applications to the Editor Team. In approval to submit a manuscript review article, the first author must have a Scopus H-index of at least 7 (seven). They are to be organized in the same way as an original article with an unstructured abstract (200 words maximum). The number of references is at least 15.
