Abstract

Abstract. Liver fibrosis is an advanced process that often occurs in hepatitis B patients. Non-invasive methods such as APRI and FIB-4 score require simple laboratory values which are expected to predict liver fibrosis of hepatitis B patients. This study aims to describe the extent of liver fibrosis based upon the APRI and FIB-4 score of hepatitis B patients at Cut Meutia General Hospital, Aceh Utara District. This study employs observational descriptive study design. Sampling method for this study is hepatitis B patients January 2016-December 2020 with purposive sampling from medical record. The results showed that 34 samples were obtained, consisting of male (n=22, 64,7%) and female (n=12, 35,3%) patients at most range 46-55 years old (n=15, 44,1%). The highest APRI score was >1.50 (n=16, 47.1%) and the highest FIB-4 score was >3.25 (n=18, 52.9%). The conclusion of this study was that most hepatitis B patients had advanced fibrosis.
