Hemoglobin berhubungan dengan kadar eritropoitin pada pasien tumor padat yang belum menjalani kemoterapi
Abstract
Latar Belakang
Penyakit kanker merupakan salah satu penyebab kematian utama di seluruh dunia dengan anemia menjadi salah satu komorbid umum pada pasien kanker. Eritropoitin (EPO) merupakan regulator humoral eritropoesis dimana penurunan produksi EPO akan menimbulkan anemia. Faktor sentral lain penyebab anemia pada kanker adalah berkurangnya respon dari EPO endogen (eEPO) untuk tingkat hemoglobin (Hb) tertentu.
Tujuan
Untuk mengetahui hubungan kadar eritropoitin serum dengan Hb pada pasien tumor padat yang belum menjalani kemoterapi.
Metode
Penelitian ini merupakan suatu penelitian analitik yang menggunakan desain potong lintang pada 37 subjek penelitian yang dipilih secara consecutive sampling pada periode November 2019 sampai Juli 2020 di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Parameter yang diperiksa adalah kadar serum eritropoitin dan hemoglobin. Hasil penelitian di analisis menggunakan aplikasi komputer dilakukan uji statistik Pearson dengan hasil p value <0,05 dianggap bermakna.
Hasil
Sebanyak 37 pasien diperiksa kadar hemoglobin dengan hasil rata-rata Hb 10,7 ± 4,2 g/dL. Kadar EPO adalah 21,5 (7,1-72,5) mIU/ml. Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara Hb dengan kadar EPO serum dengan koefisien korelasi -0,367 dan nilai p sebesar 0,025.
Kesimpulan
Terdapat hubungan antara Hb dengan kadar EPO serum pada pasien tumor padat sebelum menjalani kemoterapi yang bermamfaat dalam terapi EPO bagi pasien anemia pada pasien tumor padat sebelum menjalani kemoterapi.
