RETINOPATI PADA PREMATURITAS

Abstract

Abstrak. Retinopati pada prematuritas merupakan kelainan vasoproliferatif berupa neovaskularisasi retina pada bayi. Termasuk faktor resiko seperti  usia kehamilan  singkat, berat badan lahir  sangat rendah, sepsis, distress pernafasan, apneu, asfiksia, tranfusi darah, terapi oksigen berkepanjangan, saturasi oksigen tidak stabil, defisiensi vitamin E.^.  Pada stadium awal pembuluh darah retina yang abnormal dapat beragresi secara spontan, pada stadium lanjut diperlukan terapi yang lebih agresif, misalnya cryoterapi, fotokoagulasi laser, skleral buckle dan vitrektomi. Deteksi dini dan tatalaksana yang tepat dapat mencegah kebutaan.

Abstract. Retinopathy on prematurity is a part of vasoproliferative abnormality in the form of retinal neovascularization in infant. The risk factors are short term of gestation, very low birth weight,  sepsis, respiratory distress, apnea,  blood transfusion, long term oxygen therapy, unstable oxygen saturation and vitamin E deficiency. On the early stage, the abnormal retina vein vessel can be spontaneously regress and in the next stage aggressive therapy such as cryotherapy, laser photocoagulation, slcleral buckle and vitrectomy is necessary. Early detection and proper treatment can prevent blindness.
