Author Guidelines
Articles submitted are articles that have not been published, to avoid duplication, CDJ do not accept articles that are also sent to other journals at the same time for publication. The author ensures that all supporting authors have read and agreed to the contents of the article.

- Title is written in Indonesian. The title is written with font style Times New Roman, font size 11pt in capital letters, as well as short titles with a maximum number of 40 characters including letters and spaces. It must be placed at the top center of the first page. Subheading is written with font style Times New Roman, font size 11pt.
- Authors' name and address. The authors' name (without academic title), address and work institution are completely and clearly written. Only one author should write a correspondence e-mail address.
- Abstract is made in Indonesian & English, in an unstructured form with a maximum number of 200 words, must reflect the contents of the article, concise and clear, in order to allow the reader to understand about new or important aspects without having to read the entire contents of the article. Typed in a single space and one column.
- Keywords are listed on the same page as the abstract. Choose 3-5 keywords to be shown in indexing.
- The main article is written in font style Times New Roman, font size 11 pt, one space and made in the form of two columns (page layout).
- Articles including tables, reference and figures must be typed in single space on the paper size 21.5 x 28 cm (A4 paper) with a distance from the edge of 2.5 cm, the maximum number of pages are 12. Reports on research in humans must include a written approval statement (signed informed consent).
- Write the research articles systematically, as follows:
- Title
- Author's name, address and e-mail address
- Abstract in both Indonesian and English
- Keywords
- Introduction (without subheading of the content, includes background of the problem, an overview of literature review, and research problems/objectives).
- Material and method used in research
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusions and suggestions
- Acknowledgement
- Reference (refers to Vancouver style)
- Figures and tables. Send the pictures needed with the paper. The figure and table must be typed single space, font style Times New Roman, font size 10pt.
- Statistical method. Explain detailed statistical methods in the “methods” section. An per unusual method, write in detail with the reference to the method used.
- Acknowledgments. Acknowledgments are only for professionals who are assisted with the preparation of the manuscript, including the providers of technical support, funding and general support from an institution.
- References. References are written according to Vancouver style and numbered according to the appearance in the whole text written in main script. For the works with the authors are more than 6 people, mentioned the name of the first authors then only et al. If there are less than 6 people, all the authors' names are mentioned. These following are the example of Vancouver referencing style.

- Submit a 1 (one) copy of the article, each in hard and soft copy. Write the name of the file and the program used. Please submit not more than 3 (three) months before the month of publication to: Chief Editor Dental Journal Editor (CDJ) Editorial Board -Unsyiah Darussalam Banda Aceh Indonesia 23211. - Acceptance or rejection of the article will be notified via email.
- Authors whose articles are published will get 1 (one) copy of publication. Articles that are not published will not be returned except upon authors’ request.
Article Types
- Literature review/Conceptual article (equivalent to the results of research). It is a reviewed article from journals and or/books on the latest issue in dentistry, medicine and health sciences. Literature review/Conceptual article should be written systematically, as follows:
- Title
- Author's name
- Abstract in Indonesian and English
- Introduction (without subheading)
- Subheading of the content as needed
- Conclusions and suggestions
- Reference
- Case Report. Contains articles about cases in clinics that are quite interesting, and good for dissemination among other colleagues. The writng format consists of:
- Title
- Author's name
- Abstract in Indonesian and English
- Introduction
- Case report
- Discussion
- Reference
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The article has never been published before, or not being reviewed by other journals.
- Articles in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
- Article writing should be adjusted to journal writing instructions as explained in available templates.

If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.
