EEJ accepts articles in English language teaching and learning, linguistics, and literature which have not been published elsewhere. From EEJ Volume 6, Number 3, all accepted articles are published online and open access to readers.
To be considered for publication, manuscript should be typed in MS Word doc format, using the font of Times New Roman, size 12, single-spacing on quarto or A4 size paper, in 4000 words minimum to 6000 words maximum, including title, abstract, content, references, and appendices (if applicable)).
To prevent misconduct in authorship, EEJ only allows a maximum of seven authors for one article starting in 2024. Each author’s contribution to the article must be stated in the cover letter to be uploaded as a supplementary file into the OJS during article submission. We require that all co-authors be added to the metadata in the third step of article submission. Otherwise, they will not be included in the article when it is published.
Reviewers will review submitted articles (the review process takes 6 to 8 weeks), while the editors reserve the right to edit articles for format and style consistency without altering the substance.
Articles are to be written in essay style with a subheading for each section. The subheading system is as follows:
Level one: ALL CAPITALS, BOLD, LEFT JUSTIFICATION
Level two: Capitals-Lowercase, Bold, Left Justification
Level three: Capitals-Lowercase, Italics, Bold, Left Justification
Research report article should include: (1) title, (2) full name of writer(s), (3) affiliation(s), (4) abstract (a min. of 200 words and a max. of 250 words), (5) 3-5 key words, (6) introduction, (7) review of related literature, (8) methods, (9) findings and discussion, (10) conclusions and suggestions, (11) acknowledgement(s) (if necessary), and (12) references.

The references should be presented alphabetically and chronologically, following the APA 7th style. The authors mentioned in the article must be cited in the References section. Please refer to the previous online article publications for examples. The authors are strongly recommended to organize their citations and references using an automatic citation management tool such as Mendeley, which is freely available at https://www.mendeley.com/reference-management/reference-manager.
