KEMAMPUAN SISWA KELAS IX SMP NEGERI 3 TELUK DALAM, KABUPATEN SIMEULUE MENYIMPULKAN ISI TEKS PIDATO PERSUASIF

Abstract

ABSTRAK 

Penelitian ini berjudul “Kemampuan Siswa Kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Teluk Dalam, Kabupaten Simeulue Menyimpulkan Isi Teks Pidato Persuasif”. Rumusan masalahnya adalah bagaimanakah kemampuan siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Teluk Dalam, Kabupaten Simeulue menyimpulkan isi teks pidato persuasif? Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Teluk Dalam, Kabupaten Simeulue menyimpulkan isi teks pidato persuasif yang dibacanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini  adalah siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Teluk Dalam, Kabupaten Simeulue  tahun ajaran 2019-2020 berjumlah 25 orang dan sampel kajian ini sebanyak 25 siswa (satu kelas). Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui teknik nontes dalam penugasan. Penganalisisan data menggunakan teknik statistik sederhana yang bersifat kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menyimpulkan isi teks pidato persuasi adalah 66 dan tergolong cukup. Nilai yang diperoleh siswa yaitu (a) menyimpulkan isi teks pidato persuasif pada bagian pembuka mendapat nilai 63 dan termasuk dalam kategori cukup, (b) menyimpulkan isi teks pidato persuasif pada bagian isi mendapat nilai 74 dan termasuk dalam kategori baik, (c) menyimpulkan isi teks pidato persuasif pada bagian penutup mendapat nilai 50 dan termasuk dalam kategori kurang. Dilihat dari standar KKM yang ditetapkan oleh guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, yakni 65 siswa SMPN 3 Teluk Dalam Kabupaten Simeulue dinyatakan telah mampu dalam menyimpulkan isi teks pidato persuasif. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari nilai yang diperoleh siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Teluk Dalam, Kabupaten Simeulue menyimpulkan isi teks pidato, yaitu 66.

ABSTRACT 

This study is entitled "The Ability of Class IX Students of SMP Negeri 3 Teluk Dalam, Simeulue Regency to Conclude the Content of Persuasive Speeches". The formulation of the problem is how is the ability of grade IX students of SMPN 3 Teluk Dalam, Simeulue Regency to conclude the contents of persuasive speech texts? The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the ability of IX grade students of SMPN 3 Teluk Dalam, Simeulue Regency to conclude the contents of the persuasive speech text that they read. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The population of this study was students of class IX SMPN 3 Teluk Dalam, Simeulue Regency in the academic year 2019-2020 totaling 25 people and the sample of this study were 25 students (one class). The research data was collected through non-test techniques in assignments. Analyzing data uses simple statistical techniques that are quantitative. The results showed that the conclusions of the text of the persuasion speech were 66 and classified as sufficient. The scores obtained by students are (a) summarizing the contents of persuasive speech text in the opening section got a value of 63 and included in the sufficient category, (b) deducing the contents of persuasive speech text in the contents section getting a value of 74 and included in either category, (c) deducing the contents the text of the persuasive speech in the concluding section gets a value of 50 and belongs to the category of lack. Judging from the KKM standards set by Indonesian language teacher, 65 students of SMPN 3 Teluk Dalam in Simeulue Regency have been declared capable of concluding the contents of persuasive speech texts. This is evidenced from the grades obtained by grade IX students of SMPN 3 Teluk Dalan, Simeulue Regency, concluding the contents of the speech text, which is 66.
