Author Guidelines

Guidelines for the writing of articles at Kanun: Jurnal Ilmu Hukum (KJIH), can be seen as follows:

Articles are the author's original scientific work and have never been published or are in the process of being published by other media;

Articles emphasize the study of Autonomy law and its association with national law  and international legal system, specifically in Indonesia by emphasizing the  theories of autonomy law, Islamic law, customary law  and its practices in the global world (See Focus and Scope);

Articles must be in accordance with the surrounding style and journal template;

The author must submit an article that reviews the actual themes within the scope of autonomy law and its association with national and global issues. The author must shows the sharpness of analysis, the updating of references, and no plagiarism. The chief editor can automatically reject/withdraw any articles associated with -plagiarism issue, beyond the scope, under minimum quality-,  with or without consent of the author/s.

The article's systematics are:

  • Title;
  • Author's name (without academic degree), affiliation, and e-mail;
  • Abstracts are written in English. The abstract contains a maximum of 250 words;
  • Keywords, between 3-7 words;
  • Introduction;
  • Subtitles (according to the needs of the analysis and discussion);
  • Conclusions;
  • Bibliography.

Articles is written in English 

Articles submitted to KJIH have been written in Margin (Top: 3 cm, left: 3 cm, Botton: 3 cm, Right: 3 cm), Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5 space ranging in length from 6000-8000 words including footnote;

The article submitted to KJIH has been written using the Mendeley manager reference application with Format Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (full note);

The articles submitted through online submissions must contain 2 (two) manuscripts,  1) the article/manuscript  file with full author detail; and 2) the article/manuscript  file without author/s (anonymous) and the academic biographical data;

Submission Preparation Checklist

 

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is Microsoft Word Office.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guideline, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
