PENGARUH MODEL INKUIRI BERBASIS OUTDOOR STUDY TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PADA MATERI BAGIAN TUBUH TUMBUHAN SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 29 BANDA ACEH

Abstract

Learning in the science and science field in the 21st century is oriented towards the 4C competencies, namely critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration which will influence the way students learn. Learning must be able to motivate students to think critically in solving problems. However, learning that does not involve students will make students less active, boring, and lack the ability to think about the problems being studied. For this reason, it is necessary to renew learning styles that involve students actively and can develop their thinking abilities. So, a model was used in this research, namely the Outdoor Study-based inquiry model. The formulation of the problem in this research is "Is there an influence of the outdoor study-based inquiry model on critical thinking skills regarding plant body parts material for class IV students at SDN 29 Banda Aceh?". This research aims to determine the effect of an outdoor study-based inquiry model on critical thinking skills regarding plant body parts in class IV students at SDN 29 Banda Aceh. The approach in this research is a quantitative approach of the Quasi Experimental Design type in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling used a total sampling technique with class IVA as the control class and IVB as the experimental class, with each class consisting of 30 students. This research instrument is a description test with 5 questions. The data collection technique uses tests in the form of pretest and posttest, data analysis techniques use SPSS 22, and hypothesis testing uses the independent sample t-test. The results of the independent t-test obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. So the decision making criteria are Ha accepted and Ho rejected. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the outdoor study-based inquiry model on critical thinking skills regarding plant body parts in class IV students at SDN 29 Banda Aceh.
