Abstract: The failed of highway construction before completing the life services as planned are generally caused by some factors such as highway drainage problems, flooding of the asphalt surfaces, not good in maintenance of the highway and also the material usage which is not apropriate to the specification. To identify some important factors that influence the life services of the highway contructions, a research of highway construction in Banda Aceh city is conducted. Factors which are used as the variables of this research consist of the apropriate design aspect, a good construction method, strict construction supervision, maintenance of the highway which is suitable with the field condition and service factors that will happen. The research is conducted with the use of quitionare, which involves 45 respondents come from the stakeholders (service users), the consultants, and the contractors. The data is analyzed by using a statistical method with the use of a computerized software SPSS. The result of the analysis shows that all of the five factors studied contribute to the failed of the highway construction before completing the life services as planned. The most influence factors to the life services of the construction is the aspects of service. The relationship between the achievement of complete life service with the five variables in the research is represented by linear regression equation as Y = 0,573 + 0,796 X₁  + 0,001 X₂  + 0,002 X₃ + 0,018  X₄ + 0,037  X₅

Abstrak: Kehancuran konstruksi jalan raya yang tidak  mencapai umur rencana selama ini umumnya disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti permasalahan drainase jalan,  permukaan aspal yang digenangi air, pemeliharaan jalan yang tidak baik serta penggunaan material yang tidak sesuai spesifikasi.   Untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang paling  berpengaruh terhadap tidak tercapainya umur rencana pada konstruksi jalan raya, dilakukan kajian pada  konstruksi jalan raya yang ada di Kota Banda Aceh. Faktor yang dijadikan variabel penelitian terdiri dari aspek desain yang benar, metode pelaksanaan yang baik, manajemen pengawasan yang ketat, pemeliharaan jalan yang sesuai dengan lapangan dan faktor layanan yang akan terjadi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membuat dan mengedarkan kuisioner kepada responden, yang terdiri dari para stakeholder (pengguna jasa), konsultan, dan kontraktor, dengan total 45 responden  yang berada di Banda Aceh. Pengolahan data menggunakan metode statistik dengan proses komputerisasi program SPSS. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan kelima faktor tersebut berpengaruh terhadap tidak tercapainya umur rencana jalan raya. Faktor yang paling dominan pengaruh adalah aspek layanan (X5) terhadap umur rencana. Hubungan antara tercapainya umur rencana konstruksi dan kelima variabel  penelitian direpresentasikan oleh persamaan regresi liner sebagai berikut;  Y = 0,573 + 0,796 X₁  + 0,001 X₂  + 0,002 X₃ + 0,018  X₄ + 0,037  X₅
